Watchful

The 1st-gen Lexus NX (2015–2021) brought Lexus into the compact luxury SUV segment. The 2.0T 8AR-FTS is less proven than Toyota's naturally-aspirated engines and has documented oil consumption reports. The 300h hybrid system is the more reliable choice and avoids the turbo concerns. Lexus quality is still above average even on the turbo — just verify oil condition and check service records.
