Denso Fuel Pump
Fuel pump may crack and fail — stall risk. 2018–2020 Mazda6; free replacement (Mazda 5321K).
Two engines share the 2018 GJ Mazda6 — confirm which you are buying. The naturally-aspirated 2.5L SkyActiv-G (PY-VPS, 187 hp) powers Sport and Touring; the turbocharged 2.5T SkyActiv-G (PY-VPTS, 227 hp on 87 octane / 250 hp on 93) powers Grand Touring, Grand Touring Reserve, and Signature. Mazda encodes the engine in the 8th VIN character, but the reliable tell is trim badge plus the physical turbo/intercooler plumbing the NA car lacks. Match trim to engine: a Signature with no turbo, or a Sport claimed as 2.5T, is a red flag.
